However – without group chat I just can’t use the product.  That feature is key for what I do, so guess I will have to stick with Trillian for now.

Regarding all the banter about costs – the reality is these guys need to and should get paid for developing quality software.  Most folks can’t waste years of their lives and not make money.  At the same time there does not have to be a single solution.  For me – I prefer no ads and no junk software install and would pay for the software.  But for others who have commented here maybe the two other options or even another is the best.  It is possible to offer the software via these different flavors and each person can pick their poison to properly compensate the developers.</description>
