Database Issues

We are having database issues that are causing some people to get an “Authentication Error” on login.  We’re working to fix the problem right now.

While we are working on the issue, Digsby may start in “Local Mode” and load your preferences from the hard drive. We will post an update here when the issue is resolved.

Update (7/7/09 9:45am): Everything is back to normal. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

I am wrighting from the University of Pittsburgh. http://www.library.pitt.edu

We use digsby as our chat reference service.
Since your problems this AM, 7-7-2009, even though
the digsby client shows we are online, the widget
reports that we are off line.
Things were fine before your problems this morning.
We tried recreating new widgets, but that didn’t
    work.
Please review this problem ASAP. This is a
    heavely used service for us.

we are waiting to hear from you.
    thanks

Mine still is stating there is an “authentication error.” Meebo lets me sign in, so I know it’s Digsby. :)

I was having authentication errors all day with yahoo. I tried shutting down and reloading, even deleting my yahoo account and re-adding it. The problem went away after I went to my.yahoo logged out and logged back in, then restarted digsby.

don’t know if it was related or not.

still having authentication error issues with yahoo.

I switched over to trillian and got the following (more useful) message:

Your account has been locked for security reasons. Please re-login to a Yahoo! web property to confirm your password.

it appears that something new is going on in yahoo land.

Please release a version for Mac soon! An iPhone version with push notification would be awesome too!

Not working – Authentication Error since the 7th of July – nothing works…I’ll be using Meebo until this gets fixed — still, I prefer Digsby over the other multi-messenger apps…but you guys should really look into providing better troubleshooting service – I have this program installed on about 80 computers and now we’re all stuck.

@LX: We are not getting other reports like this. Everything is working fine besides the 20 minute hiccup last week. Email bugs@digsby.com and we’ll be glad to help you resolve the issue.

the yahoo problem has come back again today. It started with the old error message – went away when I logged out of my.yahoo.com and logged back into digsby.

but now yahoo is always reporting “you are logging in too often” and not connecting.

Hey, I think I figured out what the yahoo problem is – when I went to my.yahoo.com and signed out, the sign in has an option that says keep me signed in for 2 weeks – I unchecked it, signed in and signed out, and viola! I can now sign on!

Try this and see if it works for you!

    :D
