Make it so that I can copy paste from my IM history into a different doc.

i have probleme with Arabic letters , when i write i cnt see it in digsby , please make support for Right-to-Left languages.
Also i think yahoo server is also down.

just wanted to say that Digsby is all nice and all, but not having avatars is really bad. Going back to Pidgin until you put avatars in.

Interesting site you have here. And it would be nice to see what you to say about digsby. Most experts on this subject have an annoying have of taking a simple concept and twisting and turning around it until it sounds hellishly complex.

Hmm..I was using build 15142 but still my MSN account cannot get connected using Digsby in my office network...doesnt seem to be a problem for yahoo or ICQ though...anyone with good suggestion?

MSN mail notification has a little problem. When I get notified about a mail and click on Delete/Spam or anything else it makes the mail as read. It doesn't delete the mail.

I have submitted by diagnostic logs.

@Praveen - No other reports of this. It may have been a temporary server-side quirk or your proxy sever blocking Yahoo.com. If it persists, use Help > Send Bug Report to submit a diagnostic log.

With this version, i am unable to connect to yahoo mail (with a proxy). However with direct connection it works perfectly fine.

@Vin - We remove duplicates if they are in the same group on both accounts. If they are in one group on Account A but in another group on Account B then both will show. When you double click on the contact there are To/From dropdowns which let you choose which account to message them from and Digsby will remember your choice to pre-select it next time.

not sure if this is already implemented but heres a suggestion:

If I have two AIM accounts, i would add them both to Digsby. If I have a friend on both AIM accounts, will Digsby remove the duplicate or will i see the friend appear twice?

might be convenient but then the issue of 'which IM is sending to the friend' arises. maybe allow the user to set a 'default' IM name to use when sending to users on multiple lists.

@calvin - Many IM clients don't have a send button now and especially with the minimalist interface we are going for I'm not sure where it would fit. Can you have a small on screen keyboard so you can press the enter key? What if the right click menu of the input box had "Send" in it?

how bout an addition of a “send” button. I have a tablet pc and handwriting input is enabled but if i’m in tablet mode, I can’t actually use digsby cuz there’s no button for input on the actual messenger. That’s the only reason I still have aim installed on my computer…

Hey guys...all was good since the last update. Now my accounts on Yahoo are grey and i cannot connect to them, either remove/delete. And if i push connect nothing happens. Its like they are locked.

Someone needs to be killed I think. :) I love twitter in Digsby. I do kinda wish there was a way to 'pop out' the box though (For email too) not only would it stop my jerky mouse hand from missing the scollbar and starting over, but should make it easier to copy-paste/click on urls

@Gerard - We will add a big list of advanced preferences in the future similar to Firefox's about:config page. It will be one of them. However, in the meantime, if you mouse over a popup that keeps it from disappearing.

Still waiting for the ability to set the display time of popup notifications. These are mainly useless to me, as they apparently are set to 2 seconds at the moment, which is only enough time to notice it, and not read it. So I'm forced to open up digsby and hunt for what the notificdation was for.

@MidnightUT - It is a parsing error on bad data - we have a ticket in to fix this and will get it out within 1-2 builds.

@FoxTwo - It may have been a server-side quirk or a network issue that was temporary. If it continues please submit a bug report.

Suggestion: Allow us to copy and paste an IM conversation directly from the IM window.

It seems that because of the styling of the boxes within the conversation, we're unable to properly copy and paste the convo.

At this point I need to open up the chat history, then copy and paste.

Can you allow this directly from the chat window? Maybe strip out the formatting/styling/boxes when I highlight text?

@Anwar - I'm using the official MSN client - I can't switch to digsby yet, as they don't have multi-person conferences implemented :( - and it drops it's connection all the time. It's definately an MSN problem. We've been using MSN at my work for about 2 years now, and it's done that ever since we started using it. So it's definately an msn problem and not a Digsby problem.

Looks good guys, but I've got some bad news. Jabber (Openfire server) continues to immediately disconnect me after loading up the list of current online users. After last week's build 30 I was able to connect all day on Friday and there was much rejoicing. Unfortunately though I haven't been able to connect this week again.

Another vcard issue or something else? Let me know if I can help supply logs or anything.

Well seems like the MSN bugs aren't squashed yet.. I still get people telling me they get bounced messages when they try to talk to me.

Is there a way to block the IM spam? Pidgin / Trillian had plug-ins that blocked Yahoo IM spam. I've only gotten a couple but they're still annoying.

Ok thats great, but it doesnt filter out like MSN/Pidgin does, i want to be able to see offline users too when i seach contacts (so i can take advantage of the included email features)

Just think, if i can IM you, why send you an email? most probably ill want to send an email to one of my offline contacts. Showing them all is a no-no, but filtering via search is a much welcomed feature.

Today morning I logged in from my office and digsby did a update about 600-700KB .. after that I'm keep getting "Connection Lost" and after trying few times the login window disappear but i can see the digsby.exe running on the task manager but no window is visible.. plus it is not taking any cpu resources..

Guys any idea ?? It was working yesterday when i left office..
Windows version is "Windows XP build 2600.xp_sp2_gdr.070227-2254: service pack 2"

Just for info .. MSN, googletalk, yahoo messengers can login by themselves.

As I LOVE to see the MSN protocol issue fixed.. I should be able to run Digsby first..:)

when are they going to fix the Facebook Chat logs? They need to fix them to make them display the persons name, not a bunch of random numbers.

Auto-Update works fine for me, but couldn't test MSN update because I don't have many MSN contacts (I'm using ICQ mainly).

I am using Digsby since the last two Builds now and I like it so far. Keep up that good work and please keep listening to suggestions from users to make Digsby even better!

The biggest problem I have wit MSN is the same problem I had with it on trillian, an that is keeping the thing logged in. I'm starting to believe that the problems multi IM providers are having with MSN is more of an MSN problem than the all-in-one IM provider's problem.

No issues to report so far with this update.

I should also mention that I did not get notified of any update before hand, unless you sent out an update as I restarted... which is entirely possible.

@Manuel - the bug where some users don't see you online is not messaging related but we are actually looking at that one right now.

msn has worked fine for me on earlier builds but great to see the new build coming out, works fine here.

Although i will say i did not get a message saying "we have jut pushed a new update" while i was running my older virsion, although it did apear once the program updated after a retart, is this a bug?

I was one of the guys with some MSN issues (some users were seeing me online, could not message me...) I tested it and still have the same issues. Same users don't see me online.

Hope soon the MSN Protocol is updated.
