    Hey all

I saw Digsby rated on the BBC news last night – technology part of BBC news 24

Great coverage for a great application. All it needs now is the ability to interface directly with some web mail like tiscali & not use a mail client.

    Thanks & keep it up

Would’ve thought the cap would’ve slowed that Digsby icon down as he was being exploded out of the PC there, I can see why the umbrella’s all the way down the bottom though.

That would be because you are indeed a must have application and I congratulate you on a job well done.

It would be great to have Skype chat in there too. I have hears several people make the same comment including (not surprisingly) a Skype employee!

For vista users if you would honour the “presentation mode” that by design should stop all notifications being shown I would love you more. Yours in one of a few tray applications that appears to ignor this valuable setting yet it’s so simple to implement. The SHQueryUserNotificationState shell function allows you to query the user’s state, receiving back a QUERY_USER_NOTIFICATION_STATE enumeration.

Very well deserved. I used Trillian for years, but about 2 years ago I started to get sick of it, all its bugs, lack of development and crappy slow Astra builds.

Two weeks ago I finally found Digsby and with some (major) performance improvements it’ll be the de facto standard for social networking and IM’ing. Pidgin and Miranda don’t come anywhere close.

It’s awesome to see Digsby getting props in the mainstream, but it bums me out that it got some bab publicity in this article as they bash the installer sneaking things in. I wish we could just put that behind us for good.

Not sure what the big deal about the installer was anyway? It’s a commercial product and the ads were only in the installer, also you had the option of not installing them and it made it very clear.

    Awesome!

(And I counted five apps on that cover I either use regularly or have used in the past and are currently installed onto my hard drive, lol.)

Will have to pick this magazine up.

Congrats, you guys definitely do deserve it. I’m going to try to convert my crew at the chicago web design company I work for onto Digsby.

that is AWESOME! You guys deserve all the press in the world! And, it’s nice to see that after only a year and some – that you guys are on top of this game now!

Now, if only my podcast would be as big :D lol

I like to think that I had just a little bit to do with this. As a very active MaximumPC user, I had posted about Digsby around 6 months ago and Will, the EIC, had responded….soon after, and I am not sure if it was noted – in an issue of MPC before this, they had reviewed Windows 7. Within the screenshots, digsby is prominently displayed in the taskbar as well as digsby chat windows. Good job, Digsby! Keep up the good work!

@thynks: Thank you! We greatly appreciate any help in spreading the word about Digsby.
