Build 49 – MySpace Fixes
We just pushed a new release (Build 49, r20700) to all non-alpha users. This release is a small patch, which adds support for a change in the MySpace protocol that broke newsfeeds. This will be fixed for alpha users in the next alpha release we do.
If you experience any bugs please use “Help > Send Bug Report” in the main menu to submit a diagnostic log or email us at bugs@digsby.com. If you have any suggestions, please email us at features@digsby.com.
As always, thank you for all the feedback and enjoy the new build. Remember to invite your friends to use Digsby via Email or Facebook.

Hi guys! I just love you messenger – it is exactly what I need and dreamed of. But I am also curious – do you plan to have it localized? I am from Ukraine and would like to have it in my native language, I would even help with the localization.

@bodyk: We will definitely translate it in the future.

ummmm… i guess this is the first time the alpha testers get to to work on a primitive release as compared to non alpha, standard beta releases… but thats very weird… i mean, aren’t alpha releases the testing ground of selective releases, ie those versions not released to the entire user base? this is first!

Hey, Dev’s I have an idea i think that should be implemented (if not already done so but I cannot seem to find the option)
There should be a way of disabling flashing conversation returns in your start menu (not talking about notifications, referring to the flashing start menu thing for conversations in digsby)
Numerous people who are in college or in the professional world sometimes like being networked, but also prefer having less distractions.

@Michael: Definitely. It will be added in the future.

@ Michael
Do you mean that the button of the conversation in the taskbar that starts flashing? I mean, in XP with the with the default blue theme, the button turns orange to get your focus?

I imagine that’s what he means. It’s especially annoying if you have your taskbar autohide (nice for widescreen monitors). But on the other hand it would be nice if there was some not-too-conspicuous mechanism to remind you if you were to turn it off. (the popup is nice, but easy to miss if you’re focusing on something else) I can’t think of anything that would work off-hand though.

Yes actually i mean the flashing thing in the taskbar.

As the version number is higher than the current build sent to ‘alpha’ testers, for those who use myspace newsfeeds, is it worth removing/renaming the tag.yaml file to get the fix? Also, any news on bug #50243? Steve said it was fixed and would go out in the next release, but nothing on the changelog… (and it’s still broken)
Ta.

Hi!
My IM adresses are public as I use them for professional purposes. You may imagine how much spam and other harassments I receive each day so I use the block user feature A LOT. But when I block a user using Digsby nothing happens and the spammer keeps sending me messages. For this reason, I had no reinstall MSN and Yahoo Messenger, just to block a few spammers.
Also, I can’t wait for the user search feature. The type-and-go feature does not work as I need, because sometimes I have to locate people by their addresses instead of user names and I have more than 500 contacts by now.
Finally, the file transfers feature is working erratically. Most of the time, people won’t receive my file transfer requests and I will not receive their requests too.
Hope you solve these little bugs quickly because I can’t wait to uninstall every other IM software in my PC
thank you,
