Build 74 – Private Alpha Release
We just pushed out a small patch to alpha testers (Build 74, r24927) fixing buddy list retrieval for Facebook Chat. If you experience any issues please use “Help > Send Bug Report” in the main menu to submit a diagnostic log or email us at bugs@digsby.com.

I was expecting more in this update than just the Facebook chat fix

Is Facebook chat supposed to be working now? Because it still isn’t for me…

I’ve been trying to get this update for hours now. Even redownloaded the app and readded the alpha file.

The update worked fine here. You’re not running Threatfire are you?

We had to wait an extra day to get the exact same update as regular users. Whyyyyy???

Nope. But not even a fresh install gave me the update. Strange, unless my location on the West Coast/in Los Angeles is causing me to be sent to a different server.

@Kurt: I hear ya, supposedly there were some Twitter fixes planned for the Alpha version, but hte description doesn’t mention so. OH well, just means next Alpha should have a bigger changelist than just one thing.

Just to confirm you are not running Digsby build 24927 ?

Could you give a rough status or amount of consideration (if any) on these:
¬ Private Digsby Logs (Password protected or something)
¬ Sticky conversation windows to screen edges (like the buddy list) and also possibly for the Digsby login window.
¬ Larger, WLM sized contact pictures on buddy mouseover popup.
¬ When logged in with multiple MSN accounts and chat to someone – To: Mr Example Contact. From: My account that hasn’t got them added. Is there a way to add a default ‘From:’ that is the account that has them added rather than having to change from one account to the correct one I should be communicating with. Am I missing something here?
¬ My own buddy icon that I set up in Digsby doesn’t seem to show in the list when I add myself to another of my accounts. I wonder if it’s working.. Maybe a button with a mini sized currently active buddy icon could exists somewhere on the buddy list that could be expanded to change it. I’d like to see what’s in use rather than add myself or go to preferences.
¬ Changing your display name could be made a bit friendlier like a dedicated button that could link to a popup for your buddy icon for that account too or something.
¬ Webcam. Better than tokbox in my opinion is http://p2p.tinychat.com/ Currently beta but would make an awesome alternative I think.
Anyways, I’ve been using Digsby for a while now and will continue to do so but the above have been on my mind for a while and some I conjured up just now. Maybe this sheds some light somewhere or is plain annoying. Either way this is meant to be constructive. Thanks for the great app.

Are you guys getting disproportionately more crashes on Windows 7?
Also, providing a better location for the Digsby chat logs would be ideal – it fucks up the Windows 7 Libraries feature (since your Documents library gets spammed with hundreds of HTML files). You can change the location manually, but only if you do so after EVERY update; given how frequently you guys push out updates, that doesn’t seem to be feasible.

I guess, this has been requested before. Can’t we have an option of making the system of loading and connecting and the updating process be minimized in the system tray? And also Digsby starting minimized in the tray if an user chooses so.
Thanking you in advance.

My Version is stuck on 24505 – no amount of restarting, reinstalling, or adding or removing of the alpha file will change it. I’m really really frustrated.

@Nick
You need to become an alpha tester to get alpha releases.
Instructions on how to do that here: http://blog.digsby.com/archives/57
